The M1244 is a very high SPL microphone and is designed for CLOSE miking applications such as drums, percussion, trumpet, brass, and sound effects. It will even handle electric guitar and bass cabs. Think of the M1244 as a miniaturized studio condenser microphone that can be used for recording or live applications. The M1244 has all capabilities and performance of a larger microphone with the added features of being extremely versatile and easy to mount. Capable of cable runs up to 150 feet without degradation of signal or frequency response, the M1244 is low impedance, fully balanced, and fully shielded from RF interference.
