The Semaphore is very simple to use right out of the box. VOLUME controls the output. RATE controls the speed. DEPTH mixes the tremolo effect with the uneffected sound. The SHAPE in "TRIANGLE" mode adjusts the waveshape from swell, to triangle, to surf and everything in between. In "SQUARE" mode SHAPE adjusts the waveshape from pulse, to square, to blip and any dutycyle inbetween. We spent well over a year planning and designing the Semaphore.
