Radial Tonebone Dragster Load Corrector
The Dragster is a load correction device designed to restore the full, rich
tone you lose when you plug your guitar into a buffered input such as a wireless
system. Dragster makes passive pickups “think” (and sound like) they’re connected
directly to an amplifi er by simulating the impedance of an amplifi er by allowing
you to adjust the load on the pickup.
Guitar amplifi ers are typically high impedance inputs and pickups sound their
best when connected to an amp. Buffered inputs are typically low impedance and
pickups can sound “thin, weak and brittle” when connected directly to them.
Examples of buffered inputs are wireless transmitters, digital effects, mixers,
sound cards and recorders. Dragster is inserted between the guitar and the buffered
input. The thumb wheel lets you dial-in the perfect impedance for the most natural
sound. Result? Your guitar tone regains it’s warmth – it feels ‘right’ again
and your performance sounds great!
Dragster is a compact, passive device featuring 1/4” connectors, lightweight
aluminum construction and a single ‘thumb wheel’ control. The Dragster may be
sewn onto a guitar strap for use with a wireless transmitter, or be hidden away
on a pedalboard.
