For the ultimate in overall sound quality, vocal intelligibility and optimum coverage in acoustically critical applications, such as theatres, acoustic music venues and houses of worship, the V300 is the natural choice for the design system engineer. In such applications where premium audio performance is paramount then the loudspeakers should be so accurate as to effectively reinforce the performance while remaining unobtrusive to the audience. With a smooth and uniform frequency response delivering clean and crisp detail, expansive, airy midrange and controlled bass extension, the system is effortless in engaging the audience.
The SuperDual transducer is specifically designed for applications requiring critical performances – the ultimate in sound reproduction quality. The SuperDual utilises a reinforced paper cone with rubber surround for high sensitivity, a dual magnet assembly and a Tulip WaveGuide™ for the HF unit. The high frequency (HF) and low frequency (LF) sources are coincidentally aligned to a point source. The result is a smooth, uniform frequency response over a wide coverage area, unachievable with discrete, two-way designs in the vertical plane where massive cancellations appear off axis at the crossover frequency. The 90° conical dispersion of the SuperDual allows either vertical or horizontal mounting without compromising sound quality. Available in Black or White, the rugged multi-ply birch cabinet has an asymmetric profile that allows installations in a variety of configurations.
The V300 is designed to function properly without the use of a controller and can be bi-amplified for increased system flexibility. A compatible controller will improve bass performance, as well as provide a crossover function for use with V Series bass systems. The V300 comes complete with a recessed carrying handle and 10mm flying points to provide a quick and secure flying system. Tannoy’s proprietary Secure-ET™ modular mounting hardware provides the V Series with multiple hanging options – wall mount, yoke, ceiling saddle, pole clamp, pole mount and eyebolts.
